Aboard: Land Transportation
What do locomotives, cars, bicycles, and boats have in common? Why do we need different modes of transportation? Visit our caboose and our locomotives, or ride our vintage cycle reproductions. Take some time to make your own vehicle to bring back home.
What does the Crazy Kitchen have in common with flying in space? How would you like to see yourself in weightlessness? Learn about space exploration and see your guide experiment with Super cold liquid nitrogen. Make your own spacecraft to bring back home before visiting the Canada in Space exhibit.
Sound and Sound Effects
What is sound? Can we see it? Can we feel it? Have fun making sound effects or make a musical band with all the party guests, and add a personnal touch with the hand made kazoo. Visit the Connexions exhibit and make a radio play in the sound effects studio.
Why do magnets sometimes attract each other, and sometimes repel? Can electricity produce magnetism? Experiment with static electricity in a private room, and visit the Demo stage with your guide, for a fun and exciting demonstration of static electricity. Does anyone need a new hairstyle?
