Slime and Bubble Activities - Recipes

Thank you to the over 5000 visitors who explored "bubble-logy" and slime science with us Canada Day.
For those who asked us for the recipes here they are - have fun!

    Big Bubble Solution

    • 3.8 litres (1 gallon) water
    • 160 ml (2/3 cup) of Dawn™ or other dishwashing liquid
    • 15 ml (1tbsp) glycerine (found at your local pharmacy)
This bubble solution works best if it is aged at least one day before use.

Slime - it's not as easy as it seems!

    Material:

    • large bowl
    • two plastic bottles of the same size
    • borax (powder detergent)
    • white glue (Lepage™ works best)
    • hot water
    • food colouring

In one bottle mix one part glue and one part hot water and shake well. In the other bottle mix a few teaspoons of borax in enough hot water to completely dissolve the borax. Add a few drops of food colouring. In the large bowl, slowly add the borax solution to the glue solution, continually mixing with your hands.
