General Information

The Museum is fully accessible and offers many services. A visit can also include a picninc and playing in the park, or a snack in Café La Vigilance. The Aeronautica boutique is full of treasures that make one-of-a-kind souvenirs of your visit.

Aeronautica Boutique

Teachers are invited to browse through Aeronautica, the Museum’s giftshop, for educational materials on aviation.

Special arrangements may be possible for sleepover groups to visit the giftshop in the morning prior to regular hours. Please make your request during the reservation process.

Café La Vigilance and Lunch Facilities

There is a small lunchroom, and outdoor picnic tables are available during fine weather, for students to eat their lunches. Please include a request for these facilities in your reservation request.

Bus Parking

Tour operators and school bus drivers can drop off the students at the front door of the Museum and find their way to the free on-site parking area.

On-site ATM

For the convenience of our visitors, an ATM is located in our lobby.

Access for those with special needs

The Museum makes every effort to ensure that visitors with special needs will have a satisfying visit. With only a few minor exceptions, the Museum building and grounds are barrier-free. Regular and motorized wheelchairs are available, free of charge, at the lobby desk. Strollers for toddlers are also available for use inside the Museum at no extra charge. Spaces for persons with disabilities are designated in our parking areas.

Photography

Visitors may photograph and film artifacts in our collection with hand-held cameras and electronic flash, as long as the images are for their personal use only.

Outdoor Facilities

During temperate weather we offer a covered picnic area, adjacent to the Museum.

Inquiries regarding lost and found objects can be addressed at the lobby desk during opening hours or by calling 613-998-0299 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
