March Break is All About Helicopters! Visitors of all ages can explore the whirling world of helicopters through daily demonstrations and workshops about these amazing hovering machines. Bring the whole family for special tours of the Museum's collection of helicopters, and learn more about rotary-wing aircraft and their role in Canadian aviation.

The Eastern Ontario Chapter of the Ninety-Nines and the Rockcliffe Flying Club will provide free flights to girls and women who have never flown in a small airplane!

99s / Girl Guide Aviation Badge. Local Girl Guides will meet members of the 99s and take part in activities to earn the Girl Guide Aviation Badge. By invitation only – please ask your unit guider.

Here is a great opportunity for visitors of all ages to learn about how helicopters fly. In this interactive presentation discover the history, evolution and flying dynamics of rotary-wing aircraft and take a guided tour of the Museum's collection of historic helicopters.

Put in practice the principles that get helicopters off the ground by assembling a flying Heliostraw. Build a Rotoglide and watch it go round and round. Test fly your new craft and perfect your landings on our test course.

Take home a memory of this year's March Break by building and decorating your own paper helicopter.
12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Learn how an ejection seat can save a pilot's life. Have a blast while listening to our enthusiastic guides as they describe the ups and downs of ejecting from a fighter jet! Sit in an authentic ejection seat and learn how pilots use this essential piece of equipment.
Climb aboard and learn about the Canadair Tutor, MiG, or CF-18 cockpit with the assistance of our friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Want the experience of flight but prefer to keep your feet on the ground? Here is your chance to sit at the controls of an aircraft without taking off! Our staff will assist you in boarding our Cessna 150 aircraft, and answer any questions you may have.

Listen to a cool story, put on your spacesuit, climb aboard your "space box" and blast off to see the stars before docking at the "space station."

Join this interactive tour and learn about the materials used to build some of Canada's famous flying icons and about Canada's collaboration in the assembly of the International Space Station.
