Reserve Hangar Guided Tours ($)

The Reserve Hangar at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum houses many national aviation icons not currently on display on the Museum floor. Get a behind-the-scenes tour that includes the de Havilland D.H. 98 Mosquito B XX, the Bristol Bolingbroke IVT and the wing tips of the Avro CF-105 Arrow 2.

Tours occur daily at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (Times subject to change without notice.) For safety reasons, group size is limited to 15. Space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals and families.

Ejection Seat Demonstrations

At 1:00 p.m.

Learn how an ejection seat can save a pilot’s life. Have a blast while listening to our enthusiastic guides as they describe the ups and downs of ejecting from a fighter jet! Sit in an authentic ejection seat and learn how pilots use this essential piece of equipment.

Cockpit Interpretation

Cessna 150 Interpretation Centre

Want the experience of flight but prefer to keep your feet on the ground? Here is your chance to sit at the controls of an aircraft without taking off! You can meet our friendly and knowledgeable staff who will assist you in boarding our Cessna 150 aircraft, and answer any questions you may have.

Get the feel for flying the Snowbirds’ Tutor CT-114. Meet our friendly and knowledgeable staff who will assist you in boarding our Tutor cockpit.

Zoom to the Moon

At 11 a.m. in the Theatre on Saturdays

Listen to a cool story, put on your spacesuit, climb aboard your "space box" and blast off to see the stars before docking at the "space station." For children ages 3 to 7.

Children's Tours

Sundays at 11 a.m.

These guided tours are designed just for the kids! 2014 themes include The Mail Must Fly!, Bits and Pieces and Earn Your Deck Landing Stickers. For children ages 3 to 6.

F-16 Flight Simulator ($)

Climb aboard a replica of an F-16 cockpit and test your flight skills!

Redbird FMX Flight Simulator ($)

Pilots around the world train in the Redbird full-motion platform simulator and now you can try it too!
