Engineering is all around us at the Canada Science and Technology Museum

Ottawa, Ontario, February 19, 2007 - National Engineering Week is a celebration of excellence in engineering. At the Canada Science and Technology Museum, we underscore the importance of engineering and technology in our daily lives by highlighting exciting careers in engineering and technology.
During National Engineering week, visitors can take part in the following activities: Be a junior engineer - create an amazing vehicle or structure using K’Nex, the popular building toy. Participate in the daily building challenge and meet professional engineers who will encourage and provide assistance.
A Caring Profession - Meet volunteers from Engineers without Borders and find out about the work they do around the world.
Engineering Scavenger Hunt - Visitors will be on the lookout for answers to the engineering scavenger hunt as they make their way through the Museum.

 

National Engineering Week

February 24 to March 4, 2007
Activities are presented from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All activities are included with regular admission fees.

The Canada Science and Technology Museum’s events and exhibitions provide an overview of Canada’s rich scientific and technological heritage. The Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday. Admission for adults is $6; $3 for children (ages 4-14); $5 for students and seniors; $14 for a family (2 adults and 3 children); free for children under 4. The Canada Science and Technology Museum is located at 1867 St.Laurent Boulevard and offers free parking on-site.
