Energy Days at the Canada Science and Technology Museum

An extravaganza of alternative energy! Tour the museum and explore the science of solar, wind, and other alternative power at our activity stations. Speak to members of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa who will be on hand to display a range of electric and human powered vehicles and become inspired to reduce your own environmental footprint.

When: Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 2008

Where: Canada Science and Technology Museum. 1867 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa

Highlights:

  • Electric Vehicle Fair: Enjoy a display of electric, hybrid and human powered vehicles. Speak with members of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa and find out how you can become a green car owner.
  • Junkyard Symphony Show: Enjoy radical rhythms and see how reused instruments and props can be music to your ears. (2 p.m.)
  • Amazing Solar Energy: Learn about the way the Sun can help us power vehicles, toys, and even our homes! Make your own solar car using K’Nex then race your vehicle down the Museum’s solar racer track. (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
