Induction ceremony of three new members of the Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame

OTTAWA, November 19, 2012 – Three new prominent figures of Canadian science and engineering will soon grace the walls of the Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame, where the will join such illustrious precursors as Alexander Graham Bell, J. Armand Bombardier, Frederick Banting, and Frère Marie-Victorin.

Since its inception in 1991, the Hall of Fame has recognized the outstanding scientific and technological contributions of 51 Canadians, to which the three new inductees will be added. The Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame is noted for the high calibre of its inductees, and serves as an inspiration to all Canadians of the great potential for scientific and technical achievement in this country.
