Calling all National Capital Region Makers : the Ottawa Mini Maker Faire is back
OTTAWA, June 16 2014 – Again this year, Artengine and the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation (CSTMC) are calling for the National Capital Region’s most ingenious makers. Makers have until June 30th to submit their application for the 2014 Ottawa Mini Maker Faire which will take place at the Canada Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) August 16 and 17.
If you love the DIY culture, if you write up programs that announce "hello world", if you’ve
found an original use of more conventional techniques, if you solder your own robot's circuits,
sew in programmable lights into your favourite jackets or 3D print in your basement at night,
you may be a maker, and this event is made just for you.
A Mini Maker Faire gathers families and individuals that put a high emphasis on technology, arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, sustainability and the sciences It puts the emphasis on the process of creation, and not only on the final product.
If you have innovative creations to share, the Ottawa Mini Maker Faire offers you a unique opportunity to put your project in the spotlight. To apply, please visit www.makerfaireottawa.com.
