It's time for a Barnyard Halloween!

OTTAWA, October 25, 2012 – The pumpkins are ripe for carving, so get your spookiest costume ready and head out to the Canada Agriculture Museum (CAgM) for a barnyard full of Halloween fun!

Come enjoy tasty pumpkin treats, learn delicious recipes to make the most of your pumpkins at home, or take home a pumpkin you’ll have decorated at the CAgM; either way, you’re sure to learn more about these fascinating autumn fruits. If you prefer apples, you can also learn how to make caramel apples and satisfy your sweet tooth by tasting the CAgM’s samples of this Halloween staple.

Of course, Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without costumes and a little spook or two. Come show off your best disguise during the Costume Parades at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you’re brave enough, play the Guess the Mystery Object game and try to identify the objects by touch alone, or see if you can complete the Halloween Scavenger Hunt through the barns and the exhibitions… but beware and be cautious!
