Local treats worth bidding for: Baskets with Panache! at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum

OTTAWA, June 16, 2014 – The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum (CAFM) Foundation will host its annual Baskets with Panache! fundraising event on Wednesday, June 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Community leaders will gather in the historic Cereal Barn at the CAFM for this fun-filled, relaxed, country-style fundraising auction, during which gift baskets and local delicacies will go to the highest bidder, in order to raise funds that will allow disadvantaged youths to experience all that the Museum has to offer.

Since 2007, the Baskets with Panache! event has raised over a quarter-million dollars, which allowed the museum to welcome almost 18,000 youths who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to live this unique experience.

Tickets are $75, and charitable tax receipts of $35 will be issued. To purchase tickets, and for a detailed list of contributors, please visit: foundation.techno-science.ca
