Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum

OTTAWA, July 15, 2015 – The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum is pleased to once again host an Ice Cream Festival on Sunday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrating National Ice Cream Day, the festival will be a day of fun-filled activities with many opportunities to sample the yummy cool treat!

The festival will highlight the journey from cow to cone, with learning and tasting activities for the whole family throughout the day. Visitors will be able to practice making ice cream the old-fashioned way, and can step back through time to the 1950s to discover the history of the ice-cream scoop and milkshakes.  Other activities include a performance by Ottawa’s own Monkey Rock Music, a Magic Photo Booth, and a kids’ corner with crafts and outdoor games.

A variety of Ottawa’s hottest food trucks and carts will be offering goodies onsite, including delicious gelato from Stella Luna, homemade ice cream from The Merry Dairy, a traditional Latin American dessert from Mr. Churritos, and selections from Bytown Catering. A day not to be missed!
