Vintage Biplane Rides
Feeling adventurous? Wondering what it’s like to fly in a vintage aircraft? Biplane rides at the Museum are a once-in-a-lifetime experience. What better way to mark a special occasion, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or take home a thrilling memory of your time in Canada’s Capital Region? Gift certificates are available.
The Waco UPF-7 is an open-cockpit biplane circa 1939. It holds up to two passengers per flight and takes off from the Museum daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from May through October. Helmets and goggles are provided to passengers.

Regular Tour Options (available daily at the CASM)
Strap on your helmet and goggles and get ready! Choose from one of five different tours:
First Flight - $65*
Feel the wind in your hair and experience aviation as it was in the 1930s! This ride provides an introduction to flying at its best — perfect for the younger aviator. Air time is 6 to 8 minutes.
River Tour - $80*
Travel along the picturesque Ottawa River. A lower altitude offers excellent picture-taking opportunities. Air time is 10 to 15 minutes.
Parliament Hill Tour - $95*
Get a bird’s-eye view of Parliament Hill and downtown Ottawa. Air time is 10 to 15 minutes.
Gatineau Hills Tour - $145*
Travel back in time as you fly serenely along the Gatineau River, viewing historic Gatineau Park, the Chelsea dams, and the original river-logging route that helped establish urban settlement in the region. The Parliament Hill Tour is included on the return leg. Air time is 20 to 25 minutes.
Eco Tour - $170*
Panoramic vistas of Gatineau Park and a close-up look at Champlain Lookout are the hallmarks of this tour. See the secluded lakes and river systems that have made this park world famous. Also enjoy aerial views of the farmlands of western Quebec and eastern Ontario. The Parliament Hill Tour is included on the return leg. Air time is 30 to 35 minutes.

In addition to the daily flights at the Museum, Ottawa Biplane Adventures. is expanding its popular open cockpit, vintage biplane ride program to Kanata and Stittsville offering service from The Carp airport.
Wagons (or biplanes) West! - $85*
Biplane flying that relives the barnstorming era. Soar serenely over rural countryside and get an upclose view of Kanata, Stittsville and The Canadian Tire Centre. Or customize your flight and see your farm from the air! Air time is 10-15 minutes.
The Diefenbunker Blast (price on request)
2 Museums and a flight! This all inclusive package includes admission to The Canada Aviation and Space Museum, The Diefenbunker, (Canada’s Cold War Museum) and a flight in our vintage biplane to and from each museum. Flight time is 20 minutes each way where you will see Parliament Hill and the majestic Ottawa River flowing north to distant horizons. These vistas transform into views of classic rural farmland where you can feel the spirit of barnstormer’s past! Includes 5 minute shuttle to and from the Diefenbunker to the Carp airport.
