Dr C. David Desjardins appointed to the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation’s Board of Trustees
OTTAWA, March 18, 2015 – The Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation’s (CSTMC) Board of Trustees is pleased to welcome Dr C. David Desjardins.
Since 1998, Dr Desjardins has worked with the Science East Association, first as Director and President of the Board and, since 2001, as Chief Executive Officer. From 1995 to 2006, Dr Desjardins was also President of DRD Services Inc., a technology and innovation consulting services company.
Dr Desjardins holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of New Brunswick.
“We are very happy to see Dr Desjardins join us on the Board of Trustees, and we look forward to benefiting from his experience,” said Dr Gary Polonsky, Chair of the CSTMC’s Board of Trustees.
The 11 members of the Board of Trustees are appointed by the Governor in Council.
The CSTMC is responsible for preserving and protecting Canada’s scientific and technological heritage and promoting and sharing knowledge about that heritage. The Corporation and its three Museums — the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum — tell the stories of Canadian ingenuity and achievement in science and technology, and demonstrate how these accomplishments have contributed to the building of our country.
