Come celebrate creativity at the 2013 Ottawa Mini Maker Faire

OTTAWA, August 28, 2013 – Artengine and the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation (CSTMC) have gathered the best and brightest “makers” in the greater National Capital Region and beyond to submit to take part in the 2013 Ottawa Mini Maker Faire (OMMF).

A Mini Maker Faire brings together families and individuals who celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, sustainability, and science and those who embrace the DIY spirit. At Mini Maker Faire, the focus is on the process of making – not just the finished product.

If you love the DIY culture, if you’ve found an original use of more conventional techniques, solder your own robot's circuits, sew in programmable lights into your favourite jackets or 3D print in your basement at night, you may be a maker, and this event is made just for you.

WHEN : Saturday August 31 and Sunday September 1
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE : Canada Science and Technology Museum
