Inauguration of the tidal turbine at the Canada Science and Technology Museum

OTTAWA, February 25, 2014 – Members of the media are invited to attend the official inauguration of the latest addition to the Canada Science and Technology Museum’s (CSTM) Technology Park. The Clean Current tidal turbine is being unveiled as part of the Let’s Talk Energy Week activities.

The large 65 kW turbine was previously installed near an ecological reserve in Victoria, B.C., where it helped reduce the need for diesel generators, in the context of a project led by Clean Current Power Systems and its partners, Pearson College and EnCana, with funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC).
