Le Musée des sciences et de la technologie du Canada commémore les 100 ans du naufrage du Titanic avec la projection d'un nouveau documentaire de Radio-Canada

OTTAWA, April 12, 2012 – On the eve of the centennial of the tragic sinking of the Titanic, a new CBC/Radio-Canada documentary examines the Canadian aspects of this event that continues to fascinate the entire world.

Titanic: the Canadian story presents the lives of passengers onboard the mighty ship that fateful night, based on extensive research done by the documentary's historical advisors, notably Alan Hustak and Michael Dupuis.

Documentary producer Wayne Chong will be on hand for a short discussion prior to the screening of the film at the Canada Science and Technology Museum's auditorium. Additionnally, Sharon Lefroy, the great-granddaughter of Canadian Titanic survivor Lt.-Col. Arthur Godfrey Peuchen will also share with the audience her great-grandfather's memories about the drama that took place in the cold waters of the North Atlantic off the shores of Newfoundland 100 years ago.

Viewers will also have the opportunity to take a look at the museum's exhibition on the Titanic, including the famous scale model of the ship, as well as various contemporary nautical artefacts.
